The only goal was scored by Sylvain Distin in the 38th minute. Louis Saha was booked in the 53rd minute, Phil Nevile was booked in the 64th minute, and Dimitar Bilyaletdinov was given a yellow card in the 67th minute.

Everton plays Carlisle United next game. Hopefully they can cash in on their opportunities.

    Everton vs. Everton Reserves

Louis Saha, with a hat trick, was named man of the
    match
In the first match as the new Everton manager, I played the reserves.

The match was very one-sided as Everton won 5-0.

Mikel Arteta scored on two penalties in the 22th and 25th minute. Both of those fouls were commited by Shkodron Musafi. Louis Saha was man of the match with a hat trick. He scored goals in the 35th, 44th, and 69th minute. Mikel Arteta and Shkodron Musafi were both booked with a yellow card.

Everton dominated shots on goal with a huge difference of 14 shots to 2. 8 of those 14 shots were on goal. Everton held the reserves to 45% possession.

Even though Everton was playing the reserves, this gives hope to the future. Everton can build on this win.

Everton plays the French club Olymprque de Marseille next. Lets see we can do with a top tier French club!
