| The crowd at Stade Vélodrome was loud and proud as they won 2-0 against Everton |
A tired Everton couldn't bounce back from an early start by Olympique de Marseille as they lose 0-2.
The Ligue 1 champs got a head start by a Romain Pernin goal in the 5th minute and a Stephane Garreau goal in the 15th minute. After that, the tired Toffies couldn't catch up. Gael Berqeret of OM was booked in extra time. Everton was booked two times, Tony Hibbert in the 75th minute, and Jermaine Beckford in the 86th minute.
OM had 15 shots, 8 were on goal. Everton had 9 shots, only 2 were on goal. OM had possession 55% of the time.
Everton plays Paris Saint - Germain before going back to their native country of England. Hopefully they can bounce back with a win.
